Did you know that honey is the only insect-created food with therapeutic, medicinal, nutritional, and cosmetic value? It is the only insect-created food eaten by humans. Bee Squared is one of Colorado's amazing honey producers. Their raw, unfiltered, local honey can't be beat! It comes in three sizes-small is ounces, med is 14 ounces and the large is 18 ounces. Delicious! They also make hand rolled, pure beeswax tapers in a variety of season appropriate colors. Both ofthese make excellent gifts.
Arryn Lane makes drinking glasses out of almost any kind of bottle! It is such a great way to re-purpose bottles and keep them out of the landfill. She has a wide variety of bottles, many of which we don't have. If you are looking for something specific ask and we can check to see if there are some glasses available. These really fall in the hip and cool classification! :)
Linda at Blackbird Design uses the same glass used in stained glass but slumps it to create platters, plates, fluted bowls, nightlights and votive holders. The glass is food safe and dishwasher safe and are very versatile all while adding an artistic element to your table or decorations. These glass pieces are a great way to add some pop without spending a lot of money!
Evergreen Naturalworks is a family owned business. All of their products are handcrafted and all natural, made with non-GMO organic soy wax, organic butters and natural botanicals. Wicks in the candles are 100% cotton and lead-free. Soy candles are much cleaner burning than paraffin so they work better for people with asthma and allergies. Not only do they use great materials but they use solar and wind power from their farm in the making of their products. Evergreeen Naturalworks makes several products at Caboodle. We carry their lip balm, Earth Aroma sniffers and candles, Silky Soy lotion bars, and lotion bars to go, and Alpineglow candles. If you are looking for a candle that has smooth delicate scent you will love these candles! The Colorado Wilderness candle is one of our most popular scents and it smells EXACTLY like a pine tree!
Hacienda Maize makes pepper jellies with peppers sourced from a grower in Pueblo, Colorado. Buying their product not only supports my business but theirs and that of a Colorado farm family. Three for the price of one! Hacienda Maize crafts three jam/jelly varieties, two that are hot (Jalapeno Jammin' Jelly and Jalapeno Diablo Jammin' Jelly) and one milder (Mira Sol Chile Jammin' Jelly). Jammin' Jellies are great with cream cheese on a cracker, AND they are really awesome in recipes. I have used Jammin' Jelly on a grilled cheese sandwich (yes-they won an award for that!) and in stir-fry. Among awards earned by Jammin' Jelly, the Diablo jelly won an Scovie award in 2014 in the jam/jelly category and another in the stir-fry sauce in 2015. The Mira Sol variety is milder, with lime and cilantro as complimentary notes. The jalapeno varieties feature world-experience spices, the Diablo having exotic spices and the Jalapeno featuring savory spices. Each variety is unique! There are several recipes on their website, including some for desserts! If you have a chef or foodie to buy for these are a fabulous gift!
Jeff is our resident wood worker. He creates bowls, wine bottle stoppers, bottle openers, pizza cutters, ice cream scoops and basting/shaving brushes with incredible woods. Each piece is unique and one of a kind and labeled with the wood it is made of. These items are a great giftfor the person who has everything or if you need to travel with it. The woods are just beautiful!
Jendala is one of our not local vendors but the company is such a positive entity that we couldn't stay away from each other! Jendala creates metal ornament chimes and affirmations for inside or outside. Jennifer's mission for Jendala is, "to inspire happy and directed thoughts, thus creating a life we desire while practicing business sustainability." Isn't that a great mission for any business? Jendala uses reclaimed and recycled metal. Their bells help support sustainable projects in Indonesia and India. One of the things I like about Jendala is that you can really make something that is personal by combining chimes.
Shoyeido incense is one of my not local items but it is well worth it. This is the cream of the crop when it comes to incense! They have been family run and making incense for over 300 years, since they began in 1705, in Japan. Their incense uses natural ingredients and offers a soothing, low-smoke fragrance. They do not use any bamboo sticks in their stick incense so you can just snap off however much you want to burn (I love that!). They don't use any animal products or perfumes either-all natural herbs, woods and spices mixed in precise proportions.
Teatulia Tea is tea that nourishes the body and the environment! They grow all of their tea on a single USDA-certified organic tea farm in northern Bangladesh. It is the largest organic tea farm in the world! They also use a compostable packaging and the labels that are made with post-consumer paper. Their whole leaf teas can even be used more than once so you get more bang for the buck! Seriously though, Teatulia Tea is just really good. :) We sell a sampler pack that has 7 different individually wrapped tea bags so you can try several flavors. Love 'em!
The dip and sauce mixes from To Market To Market are absolutely fabulous! I’ve loved every one I’ve tried. We carry a variety of flavors but they do often change. We don't always have all flavors but if you want a specific flavor it can be ordered. These make wonderful holiday gifts for office mates! Thrill of the Dill (my favorite), The Garlic of Eatin’, Jack and the Bean Dip, Popeye’s Passion, In a Jam, Roasted Red the Pepper Spread, Romas Burning and Cravin’ Creole, It's Greek To Me, Pleasingly Plumpkin-these are just some of the flavors we have carried. I often have customers buy several packages once they get a taste! They are awesome. You can make the dips or spreads ahead of time and have them ready to go for any party or event. They will store in the frig for two weeks (or longer). You can use them on crackers, chips, veggies and sandwiches. Yum!
John represents Goldberg Brothers here at Caboodle. Goldberg Bros has been around for over 100 years making film reels for the film industry. They are still in business making reels so all the items that we carry are made with actual reels. At present, we carry a film reel clock, film reel end table and film reel wine rack and a coaster set. The coaster set is made from the cut outs of the wine rack. There are options for colors in most items also. These are a fantastic gift for anyone who has a link to the film industry.
Brooke Connor creates colorful, whitty drawings and sculptures with attitude! Her matted prints have intricate designs that lend themselves to the uniqueness of each piece. Brooke also creates bird and fish sculptures with little to no glue-being held together with artfully placed pins. The unique quality to all of Brooke's creations is the attitude that comes through in every drawing and sculpture.
assandra is one of the most talented knitter and crocheters I know. Not only does she knit and crochet but she does paper crafts also. We have a few knit and crocheted "stuffies". Cute bunnies and owls. We also have a large variety of fabric and paper flowers. Some are on flexible stems that can be twisted around things and others are on stiff stems. These make a gorgeous, unique bouquet when put together. Way better than flowers that will die soon!
Brenda has been an artist for over 30 years. Her father was an artist so it comes naturally for her. Her teabag holders have been a staple at Caboodle almost since we opened and one of our best selling items. Brenda's clay pieces are simple but warm. Most of her ceramic pieces are done with a white clay and brown patina to highlight the detail. All of her clay pieces are water tight so work well to be on a sink or hanging on a patio. Brenda's clay works include teabag holders, soap dishes, picture frames, word stones, dragons, and various figurines.
Carol can paint just about anything! She has painted several custom boxes for our customers and there hasn't been anything she couldn't do. We have boxes with a variety of animals, recipe boxes, cute wooden toll boxes and stones painted with the Colorado Flag. It may take a bit of time for custom work to be done but you will not be disappointed!
Hamilton makes really cool lamps! They are made with pipes and vintage looking cording to look just like the old lamps you may have grown up with. The industrial look is really hot right now! These lamps are table top and a few can be wall mounted if you'd like. This is certainly a lamp that the men like.
Stella Riga Designs is a mother/daughter team working independently to create one of a kind pieces of ceramic art. These pieces can be wine bottle charms, ornaments or wall hangings. They are also working on candle holders. The daughter of the duo makes all the ceramic pieces and then sends them to her mom who does the wire work. Neither knows what the other will do so it is really awesome to see what comes out of the creativity of these two. No one else makes something that looks like their art. These colorful, whimsical pieces will bring a smile to anyone.
I have always loved batik. Tabitha makes some really awesome batiked items. We have checkbook covers, bandanas, cloth napkins, kitchen towels (which are large enough to be a small tablecloth also). She also does ice dyed scarves in various material, sizes and colors. The really cool thing about these iced dyed items is that you never know what the final product will really look like. With an ice dyed item you lay it out and cover it with ice then sprinkle the dye on top of the ice and let it melt. The color combinations are all a result of the ice melting. It is wonderful! In the ice dye line we have a silk and satin scarf, rayon jersey and regular rayon infinity scarves, and a fringed wide scarf that could be used as a wrap. Tabitha is where hippie meets modern day!
Barb is the Heart Queen. All she does is make hearts. She then makes prints that she frames as well as cards. The cards are blank and are appropriate for nearly every occasion. And who doesn't love getting a heart as a gift? Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, best friends, get well...it works for everything!
Joey at Sunrise Farm uses reclaimed old wood fencing to create all kinds of decorative pieces to make your house more adorable! Caboodle has their rustic birdhouses, license plate birdhouses and painted birdhouses. These adorable birdhouses can sit on a table top, tree or fence post or hung in a tree or on a porch. These are real, functioning birdhouses. In addition to the birdhouses Joey makes tables, chairs and benches. If you have an idea they are open to custom work as well! This is a great re-use of wood that would end up in the landfills.
Flying Pig Metal Art creates wonderfully fun metal yard art. They make large flowers as well as smaller pieces that can be used in a garden or even a potted plant inside. The dragonflies made with butter knives and nutcracker pieces are very popular. The metal flowers will bring color and a splash of playfulness to your garden or yard even in the bleakness of winter.
Teresa was working with her daughters one day doing art projects and happened upon her little flowers. They are made out of a product that is readily available and almost always thrown away. Look at the picture before reading further to see if you can figure it out..........Okay, I'll tell you. Those amazing flowers are made out of toilet paper rolls! You would never know it though, would you? These flowers are a perfect way to send your love to someone and have it last forever. Why spend money on real flowers that will die when you can send a flower that will live on forever?
Ginger Peterson of Artifex embellishes various kitchen utensils with beads to create beautiful and fun pieces that she calls Occassionware, that you will so enjoy using!
